General Motors Diet

The GM diet, also known as the General Motors diet, is a plan that promises to help you lose up to 15 pounds (6.8 kg) in just one week.

The diet can supposedly help you:

  • Lose up to 15 pounds (6.8 kg) in just one week
  • Get rid of toxins and impurities in your body
  • Improve your digestion
  • Enhance your body’s ability to burn fat

Ketogenic Diet

The ketogenic diet (or keto diet, for short) is a low-carb, high-fat diet that offers many health benefits.

It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis.

Paleo Diet

This is a natural way of eating one that almost abandons all intake of sugar. The only sugar in a Paleo diet comes from fruit. 

Processed food and grains are also eliminated from Paleo diet. Dairy is also eliminated. 

A Paleo diet consists of fish, fowl, vegetables, fruits, nuts, oils, sweet potatoes, eggs and meat, so long as the meat is grass-fed and not grain-fed.

 

Atkins Diet

The Atkins diet is a low-carb diet, usually recommended for weight loss.

Proponents of this diet claim that you can lose weight while eating as much protein and fat as you want, as long as you avoid foods high in carbs.

Vegetarian Diet

There are various types of vegetarian: lacto-vegetarian, fruitarian vegetarian, lacto-ovo vegetarian, living food diet vegetarian, ovo-vegetarian, pesco-vegetarian, and semi-vegetarian.

The majority of vegetarians are lacto-ovo vegetarians, in other words, they do not eat animal-based foods, except for eggs, dairy, and honey.
